Fresh Snow

For my next watercolor painting, I wanted to work on a snowscape. It’s all about getting in some more practice time. From another YouTube tutorial favorite, Yong Chen, this snow scene really caught my eye. I captured the reference image from a tutorial he was working on and just created my own version.
There is something about a painted snow scene showing foot prints in the snow that appeals to me. This image explodes with so much symbolism. For me, it translates into a long, cold, and lonely journey. I love the idea of turning a dark emotional moment into something beautiful.
