Forest River in Spring

It’s spring! I’m surrounded by spring colors, so it’s only fitting that I’m feeling inspired to paint a spring scene. North Carolina offers some of the most beautiful landscapes, many are to be found right here in Wake Forest, Wake County.
This peaceful river and forest is perfect for my next landscape painting. After completing this oil painting, it became clear why many artist don’t care for such a scene, and I now understand the phrase, “green overload.”
