Self Portrait in Watercolors

A self portrait is a common theme for many artist, so I wanted to challenge myself and try to paint mine. Although my journey in learning watercolors continue, I'm please to share this with you as I am pretty happy with the results. My first self portrait, painted in Wake County, North Carolina.

I’m not a serious watercolor artist, although I guess I could be if I spent more time working with this medium. For me, watercolors are my go to medium when I start feeling burn out from painting in oils. I’m trying very hard to establish myself as a North Carolina portrait artist, but the competition can get quite fierce.

I definitely plan to do a self portrait in oils.
